Study on Stability of Saturated Rock-Like Material Containing Pre-Existing Crack

The stability of the rock mass is generally constituted by presence and behavior discontinuities. flow water in a one parameters that considerably affect fractured behavior, strength, stability. This study proposes triaxial compression test to determine stress, strain, failure modes penetrating under static load, reveal relationship between its deformation strain rate, fracture slope, water. ABAQUS simulation identify material damage plasticity generate stress displacement specimen. Two kinds specimens which were plane rough surface have been tested drying state saturated conditions. made with slope 30°, 45°, 60°. Three-dimensional scanning carried illustrate samples. Compressive strength performed better than state. results also show greater slopes attained lower compressive higher compared surface. similar trend experiment results.
